Israel’s military expansion in the Middle East after October 7, 2023, could be one of the biggest factors weakening the Israeli military in the near future.
The Israeli military deployment in Syria and Lebanon, and Israel’s determination to occupy the entire Gaza Strip and large areas of the West Bank, will weaken both the Israeli army and government and increase international pressure on Israel.
Currently, there are soldiers in Israel who refuse to go to Gaza, and there are Israeli protesters blocking roads in Israel to pressure the Israeli government to release prisoners, in addition to increasing Israel’s international isolation.
I do not deny at all that Israel has many strengths, but on the other hand there are many weaknesses.
The policy of force and solving problems through expansion is not always effective, and history teaches us many lessons. There are many empires that expanded and grew enormously, and then weakness and decline came, and then collapse as a result of the reckless expansion.
Is Israel witnessing a scenario similar to those empires?
